Susan and Gary…Married!

Way back last year, when I first began exploring photography, I assisted Alex of Jarige Photography with an engagement shoot for Susan and Gary. It was my first time participating in an official “photoshoot,” and I was so thrilled to be tagging along! And they were such a fabulous couple to work with.

SO, you can imagine how excited I was when Alex called me a few weeks ago and told me that Susan and Gary had agreed to let me shadow/assist her during their wedding!!

The wedding was held at the beautiful Lanam Club out in Andover MA (I’m getting to explore so much more of Boston/MA since I got into photograhy!!), and we had an absolute gorgeous day for the occasion.

Susan had her mother and a friend helping her get dressed! and of course, her dress was absolutely gorgeous

Susan and Gary decided to do a “First Look” – this is where the Bride and Groom choose to see each other before the ceremony, giving them the opportunity to spend a few precious moments together before the events of the day and connect before the wedding. I’ve come to realize how important these few moments can be – often, a wedding day is so filled with people and activities, that these few moments may very well be the only quiet moments that the Bride and Groom get to spend with one another throughout the day! It was beautiful to see how much Susan and Gary cared about one another and what this day meant to them!

The ceremony was held outdoors in the courtyard, and was the perfect location for the small, intimate gathering of close family and friends.
